Plinky is here.

Friends, today we're proud to announce the launch of Plinky, the little bundle of joy we've been gestating for oh so many months.

What is Plinky, you ask? Well, in case you haven't already jetted over to plinky.com to check it out, Plinky is a service that makes it easy for you to create inspired content on the web.

Every day we provide a prompt (like a question, or a challenge) and you answer. Depending on the prompt, your answer may contain photos, maps, playlists and more. You can easily share your Plinky answers on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and most other major blogging services.

Go check it out, and let us know what you think.

From the desk of Ryan Freitas.

Hi, I like your interaction, good metadata tools for crafting answers.
You may want to translate entities in your text input. 'Look, I'm text in Plinky'

Annoyingly fun and sticky.

Like it, and can see where you might take some of this.

It seems like too much initial input is required to see some useful networking effect.

Looks like this will be a great tool to foster creativity in the blog community... I'm interested to see how different people creatively interpret the prompts each days and take them in their own direction. Super curious about your business model, though... How does this service make money? Perhaps this will become more obvious as I play around more, but I have yet to see ads or a fee-based membership request.

I hope it doesn't become fee based. Advertisements I can see happening. But this is a great tool! I just hope we can get the self-hosted Wordpress bug up and running!

Concept is excellent. Looks like the UX and UI have been made for those born before 1950.

Plinky is wonderful.

If I'm not wrong, there's no way we can comment on our friends answers right?

It wud be fun if there was a way to comment on the answers ;o)

Glad it's up, congrats. It's a fun site, can't wait to answer some. Will be fun to see plinky grow as a tool.

Cool! I like to call this kind of writing "micro-creativity". I've got just such a blog, with the hope that some of my snippets would work as prompts for others. It's Creative Commons (attribution, noncommercial), so feel free to use any you like!

This is very cool. I'll be trying to incorporate it into lesson plans with my middle school Creative Writing Class.
